Lakeway Christian School and Tabernacle Day Care

IIn 1979, Pastor Benfield, the founding pastor of Morristown Baptist Tabernacle, had a vision of a Christian school that would be a source of help and encouragment to parents in educating their children.  Lakeway Christian is the result of his vision.  Now in its 41st year, LCS has had 3 principals, the current principal being Mrs. Misty Benton, wife of our pastor.  The staff includes Mrs. Debby Wallace who has been with the school since the fall of 1986 and is in her 46th year of teaching, and Miss Morgan Benton.  We are thankful for these, and our faithful volunteers, who have dedicated their lives to the education of our children.

Working with Mrs. Benton is Mrs. Debby Wallace.  Also, not pictured, is Miss Morgan Benton.

Tabernacle Day Care Center was born in November, 1970.

          The purpose of the center was to provide a wholesome Christian atmosphere where children may be loved and cared for while their parents are working.  The purpose has remained the same all these years.
